Noam mentions that the jubilation in the halls of fossil fuel institutions with the current price of gasoline is only matched by the celebration going on in the offices of weapons producers, especially that they are actually praised NOW instead of having to defend the sale of arms. Plus Keynesianism was the accepted norm of economics ( as you well know).

Once the USSR crumbled and Capitalism won ( so to speak) via the new Neoliberal governance of Reagan, it could smash any unions and go to divide and rule via fear of losing your job, medicare etc....thus 40 years of stagnant wages....

Yep, the IMF and WTO with corporate backing have shouted the mantra of small government and privatisation by under funded government due to lowering taxes and austerity on public services that further drives down economic activity, leads to unemployment and or such low wages that food banks appear....When does the revolutionary tipping point appear? ie French and Russian Revolutions.....the 1% taking the piss...

Welcome to 2020...

An article on what happens if ( and we will) we (the UK) leave the EU with No Deal.... at the end of 2020...Would be interesting.

Cheers

Grant Grant Beerlinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13280778772297709031noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3032766499940118267.post-87990211210551522802019-07-19T20:16:07.972-07:002019-07-19T20:16:07.972-07:00Ray Bradbury stated that a dystopia framed by tech...Ray Bradbury stated that a dystopia framed by technological medium would result in oppression and allow for a police state in his Fahrenheit 451 (1953-54).

He further elaborated that precepts would be posed based on "how" and not "why". From within the home, a police state would grow due to social cues.

In 1954, he provided an illustration. He had observed a woman being escorted across the street by her husband because she was mentally immersed by a small radio. His illustration showed that the husband represented the oppressed (treated like an object). He would eventually respond the same or similarly as all oppressed peoples. On the other hand, a total loss of (spirit) intuition on her part.

Prior to his death in 2012, he emphasized that it was far worse than he'd originally envisioned. Although it is debatable, it stands to reason that the crimes of Chris Watts is an example of Bradbury's dystopian thesis. After sentencing and several months, CBI unexpectedly revisited him sending unusually skilled interviewers whose approach sounded like a few bricks shy of a load; however, in a casual almost illusive moment, Watts sighs a strange answer. These voters continue to be hoodwinked by the wealthy and their corporations, including mainstream media, and Republican politicians who are literally paid to maintain and even increase the status qou. The recent US $1.5trillion tax cut, which goes to the high born is a case in point. It has also been proven that the economy does not benefit with every passing Republican tax cut on corporations and the rich. The US economy is constantly being reported as booming under Trumps leadership and that unemployment is very low, but jobs that pay poverty wages are not jobs worth having. Your "Quest" is the killing of children for profits through wars and other atrocities attributed to corruption.

This is how corruption works in government. Once politicians have captured the surrendered votes of the Electorate, they then control contracts, policies, and laws. Each is very profitable for the politicians. The company who pays the most, gets the contract, or has policy changes made/created, and/or tax laws amended/created. Tax loopholes are extremely profitable for politicians. Profit is the end game in all three. Sending the military to foreign lands, too, is profitable. Beyond that is the killing of innocent children, again for corruption induced profit made by a few.

The world is in a state of unbalance. What has happened is that the power of the vote of the Electorate is surrendered to politicians. This is done under the guise of democracy.

In a democracy, you never surrender the power of your vote to anyone. Surrendering the power of your vote every election day, makes the Electorate useless, powerless, and worthless between election days. And to call this democracy is idiocy. It is anti-democracy because the power of your vote was surrendered.

In a democracy there is no one to bribe. While politicians continue to accept bribes, Elected Members can not be bribed. No one person has more than the power of one vote.

The majority who want Peace will be behind all decisions made in the future. There will be no tax industry as the new tax system will not require one.

We know the majority want Peace, yet we find ourselves on the brink of nuclear war.

The solution to end the corruption you write about, maybe profit from, is the upcoming Magna Referendum.

Our new governments will be controlled and supported by the majority who want Peace. Political parties will be banned from governments worldwide. They bring corruption, hate, lies, wars, and the killing of children so that a few may profit.

After the Magna Referendum, there will be no corruption for anyone to write about. The bribe is removed from government.

New topics will include universal healthcare, 24/7/365 free education, Moon and Mars projects, Open Science, and the great Prosperity that follows.

Mars in 70 days?

The Magna Referendum. It's ready when you are.

p.s. Have you ever wondered why Peace organizations never support or propose a global Peace plan? What is their take on the Magna Referendum? You will be met with silence if you ask. It is because of their connection with government regarding tax treats. They also profit from donations, pay themselves first, and what is left over goes to help the children who suffer and die because the corruption responsible for the killing and suffering of children is supported by the Peace organization. One could argue most religions fall in the same category.
Wantokodehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15464751146688131347noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3032766499940118267.post-7347077448308134072017-08-26T10:05:16.967-07:002017-08-26T10:05:16.967-07:00Dr. Kofas, very interesting and on target. They appear incapable or unwilling to accept responsibility for their failures. I think the Russia issue clearly demonstrates this failure. Hillary's loss, especially in light of the numerous polls predicting an easy victory, demanded a third party to blame. They refuse to learn from and accept responsibility their failures; this dooms them to continued failure. By not looking internally for keys to their poor performance, they deny themselves the opportunity to make necessary changes in the party platform. Democratic Congressman Tim Ryan of Ohio appears to be a voice of reason. His comments that,"The brand is just bad" and, "We're not focusing on the economic messages" indicate a realization that the real change is needed.Allen Bolinger (your "cousin" from IUKnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3032766499940118267.post-17765761950946611642017-07-27T08:47:08.581-07:002017-07-27T08:47:08.581-07:00Proof is in the pudding, nothing is getting done i...Proof is in the pudding, nothing is getting done in private sector you would be fired goverment is a big business, running by lazy useless people who does not want to do there job today next week is fine who cares that we do not do our jobs. For example, there are sources citing 28,000 to 70,000 for Japan, while 40,000 to 50,000 Czechs. Putting the exact numbers aside, even if they sent several hundred rather than several hundred thousand, the net result is the same, namely foreign interference in the internal affairs of a sovereign nation with intent to deprive the people from determining their own fate and gaining territory at the expense of the old Empire. As far as the Soviet (not Communist) system's internal systemic flaws, those are many and of course they led to its demise. One cannot have it both ways, however, claiming that it was the US and NATO exclusively that forced the dissolution of the USSR, while also claiming it was the internal factors alone. Pick one, or argue that it was the combination of the two, or look at the issue from the modern-world system perspective, if you like, or other, as long as it is schlarly coherent.WORLD EVENTS, CULTURE AND CIVILIZATIONhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00484481252951314773noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3032766499940118267.post-41764226618598012022017-03-17T15:20:09.653-07:002017-03-17T15:20:09.653-07:00Integration in the world capitalist economy during...Integration in the world capitalist economy during the 1990s meant that Russia surrendered its superpower status and reverted to a regional Eurasian power surrounded by former Soviet republics that Europe and the US targeted for integration.

Wrong it was the Communist system that ultimately bankrupted itself, by dividing itself off from the rest of the world and creating an economy that spent precious resources on defense and wars and in afghanistan and the Cold War and could not innovate and spend it on computers or innovations...ultimately the system collapse because they could not support their allied structure as well...it went bankrupt and that is why it became a regional power...it imploded...no freedom to innovate, no freedom to travel, no freedom to exchange ideas...etc..etc.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3032766499940118267.post-62092178360386977572017-02-11T04:34:23.821-08:002017-02-11T04:34:23.821-08:00The lack of virtue is a plague and it has sought t...The lack of virtue is a plague and it has sought to consume populations across the world.

It has victimized individuals in every walk of life, and has even caused those who do not subscribe to individual self reliance and free will to use Marx and Engel's The Holy Family (1844) to mock the anarchists in a guise of blaming institutions from a class perspective.

Americans are greedy, selfish, and arrogant?
